Hi,
I am testing out exchange 2013 and I cannot send SMS text messages from OWA, is this supported or not?
Out SMS setup is working as it does in Exchange 2010 - so we can send SMS from Outlook 2010 ok, via Exchange 2013.
regards, Tarkan

I see a lot of sad-people threads here! People wanting to set their Outlook 2010 calendars to display certain calendars (like personal and shared or a personal calendar) and having the setting stick between application close/relaunches.
I have a client who is experiencing a similar issue. She wants two calendars to remain selected between close/relaunch. Does not happen.
It stopped working.
I can't fix it. :-(
Anything I can do?
Hi all,
We recently rebuilt our user profiles and now Outlook's instant search doesn't work. We can see and access all our old e-mails in the inbox, but the search bar only returns results dated after the profile rebuild.
Any ideas how to fix this?
Thank you,
cdebruin
Hi,
is there any reason why the design / theme changes when i activate "change password on first logon" for a mailbox and the user tries to logon to OWA ?
I mean, by default the user sees a window in the theming of OWA 2010 and not OWA 2013 (old yellow login box instead of new blue one). I've noticed that the copyright information in this old styled window is changed to 2012, so i'm guessing, that the files were touched/changed for Exchange 2013, but i don't understand the break in design.. seems a little off.
Kind regards,
Peter
hi all, this is rather odd and I cannot pin point where the issue is, e.g. outlook or exchange or both.
a number of users have folder in their mailbox that is accessible by other users in the company. for example user1 has a folder called shared in his mailbox, user B has read access to the shared folder.
User 1 drops emails into the shared folder and user B can then pick up the emails and do whatever is necessary with the email.
However . . . . the problem is, for some reason the folders like above (for a number of users and folder) quite often disappear from so the user with read access to the folder cannot see the folder.
The only solution is to re apply full access mailbox permissions from EMC. The folder then re appears in the folder view for the affected users.
Is there anything I can do? I don't know what to check, what to google etc.
Thanks

I'm having a strange issue when attempting to access OWA. I receive a HTTP 500 error, however, this is what's logged in the Application log:

Do yout have any idea what i could do?
We recently underwent a domain change
Since then I have a user who, when she tries to share her calendar in Outlook 2007, the To: field is greyed out. If she tries to add users from the GAL or her contacts, it generates the "Calendar Sharing is not available with the following entries because of permission settings on your network"
When prompted she is able to email her calendar fine. Autocomplete on her email also works fine
It must be a setting or something on the local machine because if she sets up outlook on another machine, everything works fine and she can successfully send invites to others.
She is running Outlook 2007 on XP SP3, domain environment with an Exchange server (2007 I believe)
On the "broken" machine I have:
created a new mail profile
created a new Windows Profile
renamed her NK2 file
Removed and reinstalled Outlook
Removed and reinstalled Office
looked in MFCMapi.exe, but unable to find anything which might be causing this (although my knowledge of using this tool is almost nonexistant)
used NK2edit to look for any invalid emaill addresses
removed users who had permissions associated with the old domain and added those users from the new domain
all with no success
As I said it must be something broken on the local machine because setting up outlook on another machine works fine
Everything else on the "broken" machine, including all other functions of email and the calendar, appear to be working fine
Short of going through the hassle of reimaging her computer, does anybody have any other suggestions?
Hi,
I have a user that gets the following error when opening a reoccurring entry, we have applied the following fix but the issue has reoccurred again. Is there a limit to how high you can set the value, if so what are the implications?
1.Open regedit
2.Locate and then click the following registry key: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\MSExchangeIS\ParametersSystem
3.On the Edit menu, point to New, and then click Key.
4.Type MaxObjsPerMapiSession, and then press ENTER.
5.On the Edit menu, point to New, and then click DWORD Value. Name the new value "objMessage" and set it's value to something higher than 250 (this limit shouldn't impact performance unless you have a script of some type that retrieves large numbers of
messages at once; I'd probably set it to 500 or 1000 for now). Make sure you are setting the value in decimal.
6.Close Registry Editor".
Thanks
David
We have just upgraded a few users to Office 201 and have noticed the following.
Office 2003 scenario:
User a opens a calender appointment in shared calender 123
User b opens the same calender appointment in shared calender 123
User a makes a change, saves and closed
User b makes a change and when trying to close gets prompted that the appointment has changed since opening and would they liek to save a copy
Office 2010 scenario:
As above but when user b makes the change and saves no warning is given and the changes user a made are lost.
Have a missed a tick somewhere or is this by design in Outlook 2010?
