Calendar Permissions In Outlook/Exchange

$

I have set up a new calendar in Outlook 2010 and have tried to give other people permissions to see and edit the calendar. The only problem is that despite the other users on the exchange servers being set up as being able to view the calendar it does not appear in the list of calendars in the global address list when you click on the "Open Calender" tab and then select from address book. My normal calendar can be selected but the new calendar I have created cannot. The users are all using the same version of Outlook (2010) and are all on the same exchange server. Is there anything else I should be doing or looking at. All the users have the "folder visible" box ticked in the permissions tab but still cannot see the calendar. All help greatly appreciated

How can I make it act like it did in Outlook 2010.

IMAPDeleted MAPI property set when forwarding mail (Outlook 2010, Exchange 2010 SP1 RU4)

One of my customers has an issue where recently (last two weeks) every email that they forward appears in the recipient mailbox greyed out & with a strikethrough. After investigation, it appears that this is because the IMAPDeleted MAPI property is getting set. I'm at a loss to explain what could be causing this behavior. It follows the customers account between computers, doesn't matter if the account is in online or cached mode. Doesn't occur from OWA.

I would assume it is some sort of localized client issue, except that it follows his user account to new computers. I've checked his server rules and our transport rules and don't see anything that sticks out.

Anyone have any ideas?

Thanks, Jason

I have a user that is having a problem seeing the notes portion of a contact that is in the public folder named Office Contacts.  She can see the notes on some of the contacts but not on others.  The field for notes is visible but she can't see the actual notes that are entered there like others can.
Any ideas?

change password in OWA with UPN

Hi there!

All of you know the reg key to set to enable the feature that will allow users with expired passwords to change their password (orchange password at next logon).
http://blogs.technet.com/b/exchange/archive/2010/10/06/so-you-want-to-change-your-expired-passwords-in-owa.aspx

On Exchange 2013 this key is set oob.

On Exchange 2010 SP1 RU3 this works fine with UPNs.

But on Exchange 2013 some of the old Problems are back! I am not able to change the Password while using UPN Logonname. Its not a Problem when using the pre-win2k logon domain\username.

UPNs still work fine for normal OWA logon.

Is there any way to resolve this issue?
On OWA virtual folder i set form based authentication to UPN.

Thanks alot and sorry for my english skills ;)

Have issue with Outlook 2007 using exchange but only when user is opening another users Inbox.

Our facility director has a laptop but when she is out of the office her admin asst (using a desktop computer) needs to check the incoming mail. When she open the Inbox only the error ... "Microsoft Office Outlook has stopped working ... a problem caused the program to stop working correctly. Windows will close the program & notify you if a solution is available." ... all other folder & even the sub-folders of the inbox open. Have done all of the troubleshooting advised by MS, nothing has worked to fix this problem.

A bit of history: this problem occurred about 1.5 years ago and was resolved but the history of that solution is no longer available. At the time we were still using windows xp on 32 bit machines. When we upgraded to windows 7, 64 bit machines it reared it's ugly head again. Temporarily she is using Outlook Web Access and is able to open the inbox of the director.

Advice?

OWA reverts to light

We just installed a fresh version of Exchange 2013 on Server 2012. When our users try logging into OWA on a Windows OS (IE/Chrome) it uses the "Premium" version but on a Android 4.2 (Nexus 7) and Google Chromebook it reverts to "Light" once the users is logged in. But on either if we manually force the "/?layout=twide" flag for example it displays fine.

Multiple owa sites on a single server 2012 with exchange 2013 (mailbox, cas)

hi,
I'm trying to set up an exchange server 2013 on windows 2012 with all roles installed for 2 owa virtual directory, one for integrated windows authentication and the other for forms-based authentication.I followed a tutorial for exchange 2010.

http://technicaljeditrials.info/2011/02/28/exchange-2010-multiple-owaecp-directories-part-1/

Step 1: IP Address

Obtain a second IP address and add it to the NIC of your server.

Step 2: DNS

Add a DNS entry for That secondary IP address for the name we will want to use in the new FBA OWA Web site.I have chosen "testwebmail." Be sure there is a valid SSL certificate (recommended to have UC or SAN SSL certs) on the server Which has the new name "testwebmail" that will be used in the certificate.

Step 3: New Web Site

Create a new web site in IIS on the Client Access Server and bind it to the new IP address used in step 1.

Step 4: Adding Exchange Virtual Directories

The web site has been created and bound to the secondary IP address of our server. Also the DNS record That will be used to access the OWA FBA new page was added to DNS.The next step is to go into EMS and begin adding our virtual directories for OWA and ECP.

Login to the Exchange server and open the Exchange Management Shell. Then run Get-Get-OWAVirtualDirectory and ECPVirtualDirectory to see the default OWA and ECP directories.

New-OWAVirtualDirectory -WebSiteName FBA -InternalUrl https://testwebmail.mylab.ad/owa

New-ECPVirtualDirectory -WebSiteName FBA -InternalUrl https://testwebmail.mylab.ad/ecp

Step 5: Configure the Virtual Directories

To configure the virtual directories we will disable FBA on the Default Web Site OWA and ECP virtual directories

Set-OWAVirtualDirectory -Identity "OWA (Default Web Site)" -WindowsAuthentication$true -BasicAuthentication $false  -FormsBasedAuthentication $false

Set-ECPVirtualDirectory -Identity "ECP (Default Web Site)"-WindowsAuthentication $true -BasicAuthentication $false  -FormsBasedAuthentication $false

Step 6: iisreset

now if I access the default site I log in with windows integrated authentication, but when I try to access the second site with forms authentication tells me username or password incorrect

Tell me you know where I'm wrong?

thanks

Greetings

Daniele

outlook 2003 pop3 Account is unable to communicate with Exchange 2003 - Problem only with newly created Emails with Exchange 2003

$

Can anybody help. i am in great trouble having this problem.......

I recently joined a new firm where exchange server 2003 is using just for internal communication.

there are around 30 users (Emails) already configured with outlook 2003 pop3 account to communicate via exchange server 2003 and all are properly working.

Problem starts here, as follows....

Now after few days i need to create 3 new users(Emails).

1- I go to AD Snap-in in Exchange server 2003 computer where i create 3 users e.g user1, user2 and user3 and hence the Exchange Email box e.g user1@abc.com, user2@abc.com, and user3@abc.com successfully.

Now assume for only user1 (user1@abc.com)

2- Now I go to client machine and add a new outlook pop3 account for user1@abc.com

Your name:Mudassar
Email Address:user1@abc.com
Incoming mail server(POP3):192.168.1.8 (Exchange Sever 2003 PC)
Outgoing mail server(SMTP):192.168.1.8 (Exchange Sever 2003 PC)
User name:user1
Password:123456
Remember password is Checked & Log on using secure password authentication(SPA) is Unchecked.

3- Now when I press the button 'Test Account Settings...', A prompt 'Enter Network password' is opened  again and again after not accepting the logon credentials for user1 which was

Serve:192.168.1.8
user:user1
passwod:123456

Please note that all the other settings are absolutely correct and are just same as for the old Emails already working OK.

Also note that in the same client machine if i re-configure any old Email (which was working OK) in Outlook 2003, it works fine 100%, i mean it accepts Logon Credentials and hence send and receive mails, but when configure any of the new account it gives the above problem.

Also I matched the newly created users settings with the old ones in Active Directory and both are same.

It seems that the Ex-administrator put a tight security anywhere at the time of leaving the firm or what else settings in Exchange System manager that i am still unable to catch.

If Anybody GURU there of Exchange 2003 then Pls help this brother, cuz i am totally stuck cuz of this issue.  And ofcourse THX in advance for the PPL who love to care others.

Mudassar Akram.
akram.mudassar@hotmail.com

Pls if possible reply to my Email.

Outlook Anywhere Does Not Prompt for Authentication

$

Hello All,

I am trying to set up Outlook Anywhere on a Windows XP Professional computer running Outlook 2007. When I set up the Outlook Anywhere account, it says it cannot connect to the server. It does not prompt me for a username and password so it is not trying to access the server or cannot access it. I have tried with the identical settings on another computer and am able to connect to the same e-mail account. The server is running SBS Server 2011. I have tried installing all updates for Windows and Office and uninstalling and re-installing Office as well as creating another user account on the computer. None of these have allowed the account to authenticate. What can I do next?

Thanks,

Dx.

Delete Button Disabled in Outlook 2010 with Exchange 2013

I recently switched from a 3rd party mail software to Microsoft Exchange.  I have had some users ask me why the Delete button is disabled.  I didn't enable any special policy to cause this, and the Delete key on the keyboard will delete messages.  The disabled Delete button I am referring to is in the Home ribbon and the right-click menu for selected e-mail(s).  Is this standard behavior for Exchange, and can it be changed?

OWA Stopped working out of the blue -- Blank page after login

Was working fine completely yesterday. Woken up this AM by customers complaining about not being able to access webmail. Double check all settings / auth and everything seems to check out.

After logging in a user will see "Loading..." in the name of the browser window with a blank white page.

I have searched extensively but none of the top fixes seem to be working for me, I have checked via Exchange Connectivity Tester

I am trying to dump the tester link but it is telling me I cannot post images.. I am only posted the copy/paste code.
